The Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator assists with implementation of quality improvement initiatives under the guidance of the Director. Included is the responsibility for monitoring clinical processes and initiatives and to determine when processes need to be reevaluated. Maintains awareness of evidenced-based medicine and best practice guidelines for The Reading Health Physician Network.

Essential Functions:

1. Assists with the development and implementation of various quality improvement initiatives.

2. Serves as a resource for the Quality Improvement Committee.

3. Tracks and analyzes trends and outcome reports and advises management on areas for improvement.

4. Leads and directs the work of others as related to initiating different quality processes.

5. Coordinates communication related to quality information.

6. Provides education related to quality programs, processes and procedures.

7. Coordinates reports and information for the Clinical Quality Director and Quality Improvement Committee.

8. Assists with the education and orientation of new clinical quality champions.

9. Familiar with Process Improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

10. Oversees and monitors the development and implementation of the quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Quality Improvement.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned/required by the Director of Clinical Quality Improvement and/or TRHMG Medical Director.

12. Interacts with practice staff to assist with quality process improvement and clinical needs

Position Requirements

Ø Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.

Ø Current RN licensure in the State of Pennsylvania.

Ø Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in Basic Life Support or certification obtained in 90 days.

Ø Minimum of three (3-5) years experience in an ambulatory clinical area.

Ø Quality Improvement experience strongly preferred.

Ø Physician office experience preferred.

Ø Medical chart auditing/abstracting experience preferred.

Ø Outstanding communication skills, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to work proactively and collaboratively with people at all levels in the organization.
