The Professional Services Coding Supervisor is responsible for the direction and operation of Tower Health Medical Group professional provider coding education, coding reviews and procedural/surgical coding for outpatient and inpatient professional fee services. Key responsibilities include: direct supervision of coding staff; assessment and maintenance of established quality and productivity performances; development and implementation of coding processes, provider education/review to support accurate provider documentation, revenue cycle, reimbursement and data analysis / reporting functions. Collaborates with HIM Coding/CDI teams to provide a team centered process for clinical documentation/coding functions. Â

Position Requirements Education Requirements

BA or BS in Health Information Management, Healthcare or Related Field of Study.
Associate Degree: Health Information Management or Healthcare Coding/Reimbursement.
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Certification and Licensure Requirements
RHIA, RHIT or RN with CCS or CPC credential preferred
AHIMA CCS or AAPC CPC certification required

Demonstrated management in a similar capacity or position with in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of professional coding services related to E/M, CPT 4 procedures, CCI edits, HCC, ICD-10-CM guidelines and related revenue cycle/reimbursement methods. Experience will include: coding consultation/education to providers resulting in positive outcomes; provider coding/documentation education and training within a multi-specialty network; proven auditing and procedural coding skills for coding compliance; strong communication, analytical and investigative skills to define opportunities and maintain data integrity.
