Description

The Patient Experience Analyst supports all aspects of the patient experience measurement and reporting process, including data integrity, meaningful reporting, and interpretation of data. The analyst works closely with patient experience vendors to support and maintain the patient survey process and ensures that key stakeholders have access to timely, valid data. The analyst adheres to strict timelines for the survey process, including data validation updates for regulatory surveys, monitoring sampling timeliness and accuracy, and providing monthly updates to organizational scorecards.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Serves as the Primary Contact with the survey vendor to coordinate survey activities, including regularly scheduled sampling, monitoring data transmissions, data validation, and survey administration for various settings, including inpatient, primary and specialty care, emergency department, ambulatory surgery, and outpatient areas.

Prepares routine reports and scorecards that identify trends, performance to goals, and improvement opportunities.

Keeps abreast of and coordinates participation in external patient experience reporting initiatives that involve the submission, analysis and/or reporting of patient experience (e.g., HCAHPS, CG-CAHPS).

Supports patient experience project teams by providing accurate data, meaningful dashboards, special drill-downs, and displays that can be incorporated into Board level reports.

Structures, maintains and analyzes data from various internal and external data sets.

Coaches others on the survey process and results and assists with coaching others on how to access and interpret survey data.

Ensures the integrity of data being reported and utilized is accurate and valid.


Position Requirements Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma/GED Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Experience working with Press Ganey
Patient satisfaction survey analysis, interpretation and project management.
Excellent skills in MS Office tools, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with survey design, methodology and data collection modes.
Able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and audiences using excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work independently but also as a member of a collaborative, team-focused work group.
Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive issues, meet deadlines, and provide accurate information.
Strong skills in analyzing and manipulating patient survey data to create meaningful presentations of data. Able to plan, organize, prioritize, and work collaboratively and independently to meet deadlines.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in health care data or data analysis and reporting
Experience working with patient survey vendors preferred
Experience with data visualization software is a plus
