Histotechnologist - Lab/Histology

A histotechnologist receives and processes specimens according to established methodology to prepare microscopic slides of these specimens for subsequent examination and diagnosis by the pathologist.

Position Requirements HTL(ASCP). Nationally recognized certification credentials with a baccalaureate degree in the biological sciences, chemistry or in medical technology, or completion of a CAHEA accredited histotechnology program. Non-traditional routes to established skill level may be accepted after a review of education and experience. Completion of training at an approved school of histotechnology. One year d skill level may be accepted after a review of education and experience. Completion of training at an approved school of histotechnology. One year full time experience in histopathology within the last ten years.
