Description

The Patient Services Representative works with practice physicians and support staff to ensure patient friendly and efficient operations. Duties include all administrative duties necessary for preparation of needed information for patient visits and follow-up needs. Ensures that all contact with patients, the public, families, insurance companies, employers, attorneys, physicians and co-workers is carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. The Patient Services Representative is also expected to assist in other activities as needed.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Completion of Medical Secretary Diploma or equivalent program or 3-5 years of experience in a related field a plus.
Experience with electronic medical record and billing system including EPIC strongly preferred.
Proven ability to work independently, Ability to speak clearly and concisely with good telephone etiquette, Experience in a medical office setting, Knowledge of medical terminology, Comfortable with computer knowledge, basic clinical/administrative procedural experience, excellent customer service, communication and organizational abilities.
