Description

Reading Hospital is currently recruiting for a Payor Contracting Specialist to negotiate Hospital contracts with Insurance payors under the direction of the Director, Payor Contracting. Particular emphasis will be placed on fostering long term and effective relationships among Insurers and Physicians.The Specialist will lead the resolution of issues that arise between Hospital and Insurers. The Specialist will report directly to the Director, Payor Contracting.


Position Requirements

This position is ideal for a passionate individual who has a strong ability to develop and maintain effective and long term relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and possesses strong contract negotiation skills. To qualify for this challenging opportunity, candidates must have:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Healthcare Administration or a related field

  2. Strong experience with hospital, provider & ancillary contracting

  3. A successful and sustained track record in negotiating hospital contracts that result in increased revenue for the organization

  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to foster long term relationships with Payors and the hospital

  5. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose problems and identify solutions

  6. Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a high sense of urgency environment

  7. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships across the organization at varying levels
