Description Tower Health Medical Group is seeking an experiencedPhysician Assistantto join our brand new 18-bed Medical Complexity Unit atReading Hospital located inWest Reading, Pennsylvania.

The Medical Complexity Unit is an innovative approach to caring for patients with a primary medical diagnosis who also have a co-occurring psychiatric illness within one unit, improving the quality of care for this patient population and enhancing staff satisfaction through the provision of education and resources. This patient population includes (but is not limited to) delirium, toxic ingestion (overdose) substance withdrawal and patients from inpatient mental health units requiring medical intervention. Patients with these diagnoses are currently cared for on many units throughout Reading Hospital. By cohorting these patients in one unit, we can provide a safe, efficient and holistic environment for all patients requiring care for a co-occurring illness.

Physician leadership will be a co-management model with the Department Chair of Psychiatry and Medical Complexity Unit Medical Director. This position will be day shift, Monday – Friday.

Position Requirements Position Requirements:
• A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
• NCCPA Certified
• Licensed, or eligible for license, to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania
