Tower Health Medical Group is currently recruiting for a Senior Nursing Director, Ambulatory Clinical Practice. This newly created role is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well being of all patients in the ambulatory practice setting. The Senior Nursing Director will:

  1. Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the overall clinical nursing practice and other clinical support staff in the ambulatory environment

  2. Promote and advance excellence in professional nursing practice and clinical support staff in the ambulatory practices

  3. Participate in the vision and strategic plan for nursing, professional practice model, and shared governance

  4. Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures

  5. Maintain open communication with all staff and physicians to promote performance improvement and consistency of care across the continuum

  6. Responsible for the implementation of a professional practice model and developing a clinical care delivery system that ensures patient and family centered care, consistency as well as safe, effective and high quality care

  7. Provide nursing leadership in the support of shared governance council activities throughout the organization

This position reports to the Vice President, Operations and in close collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer.

Position Requirements

This position is ideal for a Nursing leader within large Ambulatory settings, who has strong experience influencing, implementing and leading people through change, evaluating and improving processes and procedures in particular Nursing Practice with the ability to ensure consistency across the organization. To qualify for this challenging leadership opportunity, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration

  • Nurse Executive Advanced Certification

  • PA Registered Nurse license

  • Strong clinical nursing experience

  • Strong experience in a nursing leadership role

  • Demonstrated experience working with others to develop and implement a short and long term business plan and strategy

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing a Nursing care delivery model

  • Strong knowledge of evidence based practice, professional practice and research

  • Strong experience leading staff through change

  • Strong project management and process improvement experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills with the ability to influence people at all levels of the organization
